Mike Droogan is a Member of Ricci Tyrrell Johnson & Grey. He has served as trial counsel for his clients in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Mike has defended cases ranging from products liability, heavy vehicle collisions, multi-vehicle pile-ups, commercial and residential fires, medical malpractice, optometric malpractice, bad-faith claims, commercial lease disputes, breach of contract, insurance coverage, hospitality industry liability and premises liability. During his career, Mike has tried more than two dozen jury trials to verdict in three states and over 200 arbitrations to verdict in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Mr. Droogan has also argued cases to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the Pennsylvania Supreme and the Pennsylvania Superior Court.

In addition to representing clients after suit is filed, Mr. Droogan has a 24/7 rapid response protocol for motor vehicle accidents, work-place incidents and fires, which allows for multiple disciplines of expertise to immediately respond to an event shortly after it occurs.

Growing up as the son of a jack-of-all trades, whether it was the repair of cars, trucks or machines, as well as residential construction, gave Mr. Droogan a hands-on education that he applies to the defense of product manufacturers, and construction and utility companies. Mr. Droogan has defended the manufacturers of cars, trucks, trailers, cranes, aerial lifts, hoists, water pumps, water filters, pool filters, residential and commercial windows and doors, and ice machines. Mr. Droogan has also represented utility companies, road construction companies, traffic control companies and commercial and residential building contractors and sub-contractors.

While in law school, Mr. Droogan developed a desire to defend hospitals and physicians. Throughout his career, Mr. Droogan has maintained a keen interest in medicine, and he applies this to the defense of medical and optometric malpractice matters, as well as the defense of bodily injury claims.

In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Droogan also assists his clients with risk management and electronic discovery.

Mr. Droogan holds an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest possible peer review rating for ethics and legal ability. Mr. Droogan serves as an Arbitrator for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and as Judge Pro Tempore and Arbitrator for the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County.

Mr. Droogan played high school football for the legendary Mike Pettine, Sr., from whom he learned the importance of, among other things, out-preparing an opponent. Mr. Droogan has skied “The Peak” at Big Sky and golfed at Pine Valley, Whistling Straits and Merion.

Mr. Droogan graduated from Gettysburg College in 1984 and from Delaware Law School in 1989. Mr. Droogan is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey and the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania.
