THOMAS W. GRAMMER

Mr. Grammer comes to Ricci Tyrrell Johnson & Grey with a diverse legal background. Immediately prior to joining Ricci Tyrrell, he was a long-term clerk with Justice Seamus McCaffery of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, where he drafted published opinions and internal memoranda on virtually every area of the law, including products liability; criminal law; personal, subject matter, and appellate jurisdiction; federal preemption; statutory interpretation; evidence law; Pennsylvania and federal constitutional law; zoning regulations; and civil, criminal, and appellate procedure. Earlier in his career, Mr. Grammer clerked for Pennsylvania trial and appellate judges, giving him insight into the judicial process. He clerked for Judge Patricia A. McInerney of Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas following law school, and then for Judge Richard B. Klein on Pennsylvania Superior Court.

Between his earlier clerkships and his work with the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Mr. Grammer practiced at private law firms where he represented clients in a wide variety of matters, including environmental and federal securities class actions, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, and personal injury matters.

Mr. Grammer grew up in Mechanicsburg, PA, and is a magna cum laude graduate of Villanova Law School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from West Chester University with a major in Foreign Languages and a minor in Music.
